Ms. Deng Yan is president of the Shanghai Yangtze River Delta Advanced Manufacturing Development Research Institute, and Chairman & CEO of Shanghai WenDing Information Technology Co., Ltd. She also serves as Chair of the New Industrialization Special Committee under the Digital Economy Chamber of Commerce of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce.

Ms. Deng holds an EMBA from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. A seasoned media and events professional as well as a serial entrepreneur, she began her career as Chief Reporter and Editor-in-Chief of Rail Transit magazine. She has been instrumental in conceiving and launching several premier industry conference brands that command broad influence across the engineering and industrial sectors. She also founded a technology and information services company focused on advanced manufacturing and infrastructure development, building extensive networks and resources in these fields. With a particular focus on the advancement of advanced manufacturing, Ms. Deng brings deep domain knowledge and a strategic understanding of the industry's evolution.
Shanghai Yangtze-Delta Advanced Manufacturing Institute (hereinafter referred to as "SAMI") was established in 2025 , approved by the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, with the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization serving as its supervisory authority.

It provides comprehensive services in advanced manufacturing industry research, strategic consulting, technology R&D, commercialization of scientific achievements and information exchange.
