Currently serving as Chief Information & Digital Officer at S P Setia, Alex leads the Group’s digital, data, cybersecurity, and corporate innovation agenda, supporting the organisation’s transformation into a technology-enabled property developer and enabling more connected, sustainable communities.

His focus is translating strategy into execution, modernising enterprise platforms, strengthening cyber resilience, advancing data and AI capabilities, and building innovation ecosystems that connect corporates, startups, government agencies, and industry partners.

Beyond organisational transformation, Alex works closely with ecosystem partners, including startups, government agencies, and industry bodies, to explore new models of collaboration that accelerate innovation and responsible technology adoption. He is particularly interested in how digital platforms, data, and emerging technologies can contribute to building more connected and sustainable communities.

Alex’s work in digital transformation and innovation has been recognised through industry awards, including CIO100 ASEAN, PIKOM Unicorn Award and WCIT recognition.

Grounded in practical innovation, Alex holds a patent for a blockchain-secured product warranty solution, reflecting a broader interest in trusted digital ecosystems and the role emerging technologies can play in shaping new business models.

In addition, he actively contributes to the wider innovation ecosystem through mentoring founders, collaborating with public sector initiatives, and participating in industry dialogues on digital transformation, corporate innovation, and the future of smart communities.
