Dr Samson Tam is a technology-oriented entrepreneur, and Founder of “Instant-Dict”. He has been actively participating in angel investment, and he is keen on creating an eco-system to nurture startups.
Dr Tam is Chairman of Group Sense Limited and Hong Kong Industry-University-Research Collaboration Association; a Director of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation; a Founding Partner of Hong Kong Inno Angel Fund, Shenzhen Baytech Capital and Shenzhen Zebras Technology Startup Acceleration; a Member of Cyberport Investors Network, a Trustee of the United College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), an Adjunct Professor of the Academy of Innovation of the City University of Hong Kong and the Department of Electronic Engineering of CUHK.
Dr Tam was an Elected Member of the HKSAR LegCo, Chairman of Hong Kong Business Angel Network, Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, and a Council Member of the Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU). He was awarded the “Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong” in 1992 and was named one of the “Ten Outstanding Young Persons” in 1997.
Dr Tam was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2008 and by HKMU in 2017.
