Dr. XiaoJian Li graduated from the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and conducted research on implantable brain-computer interface technologies for the visual and motor systems at the Georgia Regents University School of Medicine and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine from 2010 to 2018.
Dr. Li's main research in brain-computer interfaces includes high-throughput dynamic brain neural information acquisition technology, neural circuit analysis and decoding techniques, and novel neuromodulation technologies. Notable achievements include pioneering the first fully integrated implantable brain-computer interface technology chain in China, as well as leading internationally in the development and continuous advancement of non-genetic neural remote-control methods based on opto-nanotechnology.
Dr. Li has a solid and comprehensive research foundation in the fields of precision mechanical engineering, optical engineering, electronic engineering, and neural engineering, excelling in interdisciplinary research. His numerous achievements have been published in Nature sub-journals and top-tier professional journals across multiple disciplines. Due to his profound understanding of implantable brain-computer interface systems and outstanding scientific contributions, Dr. Li is frequently invited by academic organizations and science media to deliver extensive academic and public lectures on brain-computer interfaces.
