Dr. Yuanwei Chen, Founder, Chairman & CEO, Hinova Pharmaceuticals Inc. (688302.SH); Distinguished Professor, Sichuan University. Dr. Chen earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and completed his postdoctoral training at The Scripps Research Institute. He previously held senior R&D roles at Bayer and AbbVie, with nearly 20 years of end-to-end experience translating novel targets to approved therapeutics. His work includes nearly 300 issued global patents, 70+ peer-reviewed publications, and leadership of 20+ innovative molecules that advanced into clinical development.

Since founding Hinova Pharmaceuticals in 2013, Dr. Chen has built the company’s four proprietary core technology platforms, spanning deuterated drug design, PROTAC-mediated targeted protein degradation, novel target validation, and translational medicine. The company now has 8 pipeline programs across oncology, autoimmune, and metabolic diseases, with its first Class 1 innovative drug deuterated enzalutamide already commercialized. He led Hinova’s 2022 IPO on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (ticker: 688302), raising RMB 1 billion to build the company’s global R&D and manufacturing base in Chengdu to advance China-origin innovative therapies to international patients.
